The Escambia County Emergency Medical Services Department is currently looking for individuals who uphold our values of service, professionalism and vigilance to join our team. The Department is currently accepting applications for Emergency Medical Technicians, Paramedics and Communications Dispatcher professionals. These positions have the flexibility of choosing a benefits package that meets personal needs.

Emergency Medical Technician

This is a technical and paraprofessional work providing basic life support to patients at the scene of emergencies and while transporting sick and injured patients to medical care facilities. An employee in this class is responsible for working as an emergency medical team member and directly reports to the Paramedic Supervisor.

Paramedic

This is responsible work involving the protection of life through the performance of emergency medical services, providing basic and advanced life support to patients at the scene of emergencies and while transporting sick and injured patients to medical care facilities.
