The Employee Development policy applies to regular and full-time employees of the Escambia County Board of County Commissioners who have reached their one-year anniversary of continuous service in the BCC as a regular full-time employee before the start date of course work. Participation in the Employee Development program is strictly voluntary for the employee.

The Job Related Education Assistance program is to be used to encourage employees to enhance their effectiveness through educational instructional or training, to develop their skills and knowledge and to improve their ability to carry out their current duties. It provides a tool for managers and employees to support workforce planning and development.

Employee Tuition Assistance

You could receive up to $2,400 per fiscal year for a variety of college courses through the Escambia County Tuition Reimbursement Program.

Who is eligible?

  • Full-time employees who have worked for the county for at least one consecutive year
  • Employees looking to enhance skills for their current position or another county position

Did you know?

Participating employees may have the option to receive funding up front to pay for courses (restrictions apply).
