Reallocation and/or reclassification is used to assist departments in properly classifying employees based on job duties being performed. A reclassification requires a position description questionnaire to be completed by the current incumbent and it is to be submitted to HR by the end of March to be effective October 1. A reallocation allows the department to reallocate a vacant position to a another position that is more appropriate to meets the needs of the department.
