Eligibility

County employees who work an average of 30 hours a week are considered full-time and are eligible to participate in the county health insurance plans. The county provides three health insurance options:

• Higher cost PPO: Blue Cross/Blue Shield 3559
• Lower cost PPO: Blue Cross/Blue Shield 3359
• Health Savings Account (Individual)
• Health Savings Account (Family)
• BlueScript Pharmacy Benefits

Enrollment & Effective Dates

Employees must enroll in the medical plan within 30 days of their hire date. All health benefits are effective the first of the month following 30 days of employment.
