Escambia County Volunteer Program
The primary purpose of the Escambia County Board of County Commissioners’ volunteer program is to augment and enhance community engagement and the delivery of county services to the citizens of Escambia County. Additionally, the volunteer program
encourages involvement in local government and promotes participation by individuals and groups within Escambia County.
Escambia County is committed to the idea that involving volunteers in its operations will assist in carrying out this mission for
the community. Volunteers provide a vital link between Escambia County and the community. A successful volunteer program requires that staff and volunteers work as a team to implement the mission and goals of Escambia County. Promoting volunteerism
fosters increased citizen involvement in the community and enables citizens to enhance and maintain needed human services.
Please note:
- All volunteers are required to complete a volunteer application and undergo a background check.
- Minor volunteers are accepted with the following considerations:
- Ages 15-17 are allowed to volunteer with written consent from a parent/guardian.
- Ages 12-14 are allowed to volunteer when a cleared parent/guardian volunteers with them. The parent/guardian is expected to remain with the minor at all times.
- Minors under the age of 12 may not volunteer.
