The Escambia County Professional Advisory Committee (PAC) shall review proposed changes to the technical and environmental design standards herein. The proposed changes may be submitted by the County Engineer or the Environmental Director or the public. Proposed changes shall include supporting evidential documentation including but not limited to calculations, details, specifications, drawings, peer reviewed best available science, etc.

The PAC shall be composed of seven members. One member shall be from private practice and shall be appointed by the local branch of the Florida Engineering Society; one members shall be from a private practice and shall be appointed by the local branch of the American Society of Civil Engineers; two members shall be from private practice and shall be appointed by the Florida Association of Environmental Professionals or other professional scientific association as deemed acceptable to the Community and Environment Director; one staff member from the Engineering/Public Works Department; one staff member from Community and Environment; and one member from the Development Services Department. Terms for those members who are not staff of Escambia County shall serve for a minimum of two years and may remain on the Committee if reappointed by the Board of County Commissioners.

The revisions made by the PAC will be presented to the Planning Board for their review and recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners and will be effective at the time of approval.
