Establishment and Duties

This Authority was created in accordance with Chapter 74-323, Laws of Florida, Act of 1974, and established by Florida Statute 154.207. The purpose of this Authority is to assist health facilities in the acquisition, construction, financing and refinancing of projects in any incorporated or unincorporated area within the geographical limits of Escambia County.

Eligibility Criteria and Composition

The Authority shall consist of five (5) residents of Escambia County each of whom shall before entering upon his duties, take and subscribe the oath or affirmation required by the state constitution. Knowledge of finance and/or health care administration required. 

Terms

The terms of the members first appointed shall be one for one year, one for two years, one for three years, and two for four years. Thereafter, appointments shall be for four (4) years. Vacancies shall be filled for the unexpired term.
