The Oakfield Redevelopment District was adopted by the Escambia County Board of County Commissioners in 2014 pursuant to resolution number R2014-147. The district covers an area of approximately 3.6 square miles consisting of high density mixed uses and abuts the Ensley and Palafox Redevelopment Districts to the north and south, respectively.
Oakfield is served by numerous commercial and retail anchors along the Pensacola Boulevard, North Palafox Street, Airport Boulevard and Burgess Road corridors, and is home to Pensacola’s prime automobile dealership locale, Car City. This district abuts Interstate 10 to the north and Interstate 1-10 to the east.
