Longleaf Drive between Wymart Road and Kemp Drive will experience short-term lane detours beginning Wednesday, May 24 while construction takes place. Construction consists of new stormwater drainage, road and bridge construction along Longleaf Drive. Work is expected to be completed by Thursday, Aug. 10.

Escambia County Fire Rescue will hold two physical abilities tests Saturday, June 3, and Monday, June 5. Both tests will take place at Pensacola Fire Department Station 4, 1 N. "Q" St., at 8 a.m. and is open to anyone interested in joining Escambia County Fire Rescue. Participants should arrive 30 minutes early to sign in.
