  • Prescribed Burn for Debris at Perdido Bay Boat Ramp Starting May 5

    Starting Friday, May 5, a controlled permitted burn of debris will take place at the project site of the Perdido Bay Boat Ramp, 10808 Lillian Highway. The boat ramp is currently under construction and a burn is necessary to clear debris on the project site. The burn will be performed by Hewes and Company, LLC.

  • Take the Florida Broadband Speed Test

    Escambia County, in conjunction with the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) is enlisting the help of the public to take the Florida Broadband Speed Test to assist in further developing Florida's Broadband Availability Map. Your participation will help the state of Florida identify gaps in high-speed internet service in order to advance the state’s overall broadband infrastructure expansion goals.

  • Reminder: BCC to Hold Regular Meetings May 4

    The Escambia County Board of County Commissioners will hold regular meetings Thursday, May 4. Agenda review begins at 9a.m., public forum begins at 4:30 p.m. and the regular meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. All meetings will take place in the board chambers of the Ernie Lee Magaha Government Building, located on the first floor of 221 Palafox Place.

The Rebuild Florida Housing Repair and Replacement program is designed to repair, replace, or reconstruct homes damaged by Hurricane Sally. The public comment period for these projects is open from Thursday, April 20, until Thursday, May 4, at 5 p.m. central time.
