    The Escambia County Office of Purchasing, in partnership with the Gulf Coast Minority Chamber of Commerce, will host a free vendor open house and ribbon cutting event Wednesday, March 22, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. The open house will take place in the purchasing office on the second floor of the Matt Langley Bell III Building, located at 213 Palafox Place.

  • ECFR to Hold Physical Abilities Test April 15

    Escambia County Fire Rescue will hold a physical abilities test Saturday, April 15. The test will take place at Pensacola Fire Department Station 4, 1 N. "Q" St., at 8 a.m. and is open to anyone interested in joining Escambia County Fire Rescue. Participants should arrive 30 minutes early to sign in.

This is a chance for residents to dispose of items such as old furniture, appliances and household waste free of charge. Yard debris is not eligible for removal during this cleanup.

    The Escambia HOME Consortium, consisting of Escambia County, Sana Rosa County, the City of Pensacola, and the City of Milton announce the availability of the Draft HOME-ARP Allocation Plan, to be filed with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The plan concerns local housing and community development activities and services to be accomplished with HOME-ARP funding awarded to the consortium.

    Join Escambia County, Escambia Extension and Florida Master Gardeners for free coastal plant giveaways on Pensacola Beach and Perdido Key. The Pensacola Beach giveaway will take place on April 1 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. at the Pensacola Beach Community Church, 920 Panferio Drive. The Perdido Key giveaway will take place on April 15 from 9 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at the Perdido Key Community Center, 15500 Perdido Key Drive.
