The Escambia County Board of County Commissioners will hold regular meetings Thursday, April 6. Agenda review begins at 9a.m., public forum begins at 4:30 p.m. and the regular meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. All meetings will take place in the board chambers of the Ernie Lee Magaha Government Building, located on the first floor of 221 Palafox Place.

Join us in keeping our neighborhoods clean and safe! A neighborhood cleanup for residents in Mayfair will take place on Wednesday, April 5. This is a chance for residents to dispose of items such as old furniture, appliances and household waste free of charge. Yard debris is eligible for removal during this cleanup. This cleanup covers a portion of Districts 2 and 3.

Escambia County Fire Rescue will hold a physical abilities test Saturday, April 15. The test will take place at Pensacola Fire Department Station 4, 1 N. "Q" St., at 8 a.m. and is open to anyone interested in joining Escambia County Fire Rescue. Participants should arrive 30 minutes early to sign in.

Escambia County District 5 Commissioner Steven Barry will host a town hall Monday, April 10, at 5 p.m. at the Langley Bell 4-H Center, located at 3730 Stefani Road. This is an open forum event and residents of District 5 are invited and encouraged to attend. County staff will be in attendance to address any additional questions or concerns from residents.

Escambia County’s Construction Management Division will soon begin the River Road Culvert Repairs FEMA Project in District 1. Located approximately 2,040 linear feet north of the intersection of River Road and Perdido Key Drive, the project consists of replacing an existing culvert crossing, associated asphalt roadway and multiuse path damaged during Hurricane Sally.
