The Escambia County Board of County Commissioners is pleased to recognize Chinnia Moore, Environmental Services Coordinator in the Environmental Enforcement Division of the Natural Resources Management Department, as the March 2025 Employee of the Month. The board adopted a proclamation recognizing Moore’s selection at the March 6 BCC meeting.
Moore celebrates eight years with Escambia County later this month, having begun her employment on March 14, 2017. As Environmental Services Coordinator, Moore is responsible for monitoring compliance with federal, state and local laws, regulations, codes, and standards. She prepares recommendations for county commission meetings, supervises staff, and assists with budget preparation for the Environmental Enforcement Division. She is extremely knowledgeable of Code Enforcement’s policies and procedures, which allows her to respond promptly to inquiries from the public, county departments, and outside agencies.
“Chinnia is the definition of a positive employee,” Natural Resources Management Department Director Chips Kirschenfeld said. “She always has a great attitude and cares deeply about her community, which is evident through her work ethic. Chinnia is a tremendous asset to our department and to the citizens of Escambia County. I’m proud to honor her hard work and to see her recognized as Employee of the Month.”
Moore also serves as the clerk for special magistrates and their paralegals, assisting with preparation for environmental enforcement hearings. She worked closely with the City of Pensacola’s Code Enforcement Division, assisting with training its special magistrate clerks on the MyProjectNow software to conduct code enforcement hearings.
Outside of work, Moore serves as Youth Director and Praise Team Leader at Love and Favor Pentecostal Church and enjoys spending time with her husband, Alex, and her two sons, Alex, Jr. and Adrian.
“I am honored to be selected as the Employee of the Month,” Moore said. “I am truly thankful for the recognition for the work I do in Code Enforcement. My performance is a direct result of Code Enforcement’s leadership and my coworkers. Collectively, these individuals inspire me to perform my best every day.”
