  • FDOT Construction Activities Suspended for Labor Day Weekend

    To promote safety and reduce congestion over the Labor Day weekend, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is suspending normal road construction activities on all major roads in Northwest Florida. There will be no work on state roads requiring lane restrictions from Friday, August 29, through Monday, September 1. Work on projects requiring lane closures will resume Tuesday, September 2. All major roads will be open to normal traffic.

  • Update: US Department of Treasury Releases RESTORE Guidelines

    On Friday, August 15, the United States Department of Treasury released the Interim Final Rule which governs the Gulf Coast Restoration Trust Fund established by the RESTORE Act. The Final Rule will govern the administration of RESTORE Act funds to Escambia County and is required to be released before the County can submit a Multiyear Implementation Plan (MYIP) to apply for RESTORE Act funding.\r\n
