Escambia County has scheduled a public ceremony to honor Maceo Perkins, a former county employee, by formally designating a portion of North Century Boulevard/U.S. Highway 29 as "Maceo Perkins Parkway." The event will be held on Friday, Nov. 15 at 2 p.m. at 2830 N. Century Blvd. near the intersection of Century Boulevard and Sigler Road.

Bradshaw, age 41, a Volunteer District Chief at Escambia County Fire Rescue Station #1 in Bellview and Volunteer Assistant District Chief for ECFR Station #2 in Beulah, who was killed this morning while on scene responding to a multi-vehicle accident on the Muscogee Bridge.

The Boyd Avenue lane closure that began Monday, Oct. 14 has been extended to Friday, Nov. 1. Traffic will be detoured along Olive Road to Stark Avenue, then to the intersection of Beagles Street and Boyd Avenue. Boyd Avenue can be accessed from Beagles Street.
