  • ECFR to Hold Physical Abilities Test April 22

    Escambia County Fire Rescue will hold a physical abilities test Monday, April 22, at Pensacola Fire Department Station 4, 1 N. "Q" St., at 8 a.m. The test is open to Florida-certified firefighters interested in joining Escambia County Fire Rescue. Participants should arrive 30 minutes early to sign in.

  • Navy Point Boat Ramp to Close for Maintenance April 1-5

    The Navy Point boat ramp, located at Sunset Avenue and Southeast Syrcle Drive, will close April 1-5 for resurfacing and restriping. The boat ramp is expected to re-open Saturday, April 6, weather permitting.

  • Bob Sikes Toll Plaza Lane 3 Now Open to Vehicles

    Repairs to Lane 3 at the Bob Sikes Toll Plaza have been completed following its closure in February. The lane is open to vehicles effective Thursday, March 21. Lane 4 has returned to use for emergency vehicles only.

Public forum begins at 9 a.m. and the regular meeting begins at 9:30 a.m. Both meetings will take place in the board chambers of the Ernie Lee Magaha Government Building, located on the first floor of 221 Palafox Place.

  • Escambia County Completes Surrey-Windsong Stormwater Improvements

    Escambia County recently completed stormwater improvements in the Windsong Lane and Surrey Drive neighborhood, which included the expansion of an existing stormwater pond on Windsong Lane to help reduce flooding in the area during rainfall events.

  • Scam Alert: Fraudulent Messages Posing as Animal Welfare Staff

    The Escambia County Department of Animal Welfare has received reports of fraudulent text and social media messages to the public from persons claiming to represent Animal Welfare staff. These messages are being targeted to citizens with lost pets, claiming their pet has been brought to the shelter and asking for money in order to retrieve the pet or asking for access to their virtual assistant devices. These messages are not legitimate and are not associated with Escambia County and the Department of Animal Welfare.
