    Escambia County's Natural Resources Management department has launched a new Air Quality Monitoring Network. 12 air quality stations are placed throughout the county and report conditions in real-time, allowing citizens to make better-informed decisions for daily activities.   • ECAT Route 50 to Service New Baptist Hospital Campus Starting Sept. 25

    Effective Monday, Sept. 25, ECAT Route 50 will restructure to service the new Baptist Hospital campus at the intersection of Brent lane and I-110. Hourly service will run from 5 a.m. to 7:55 p.m. Monday through Friday. Service will run every two hours from 6 a.m. to 7:55 p.m. on Saturdays.

  • Reminder: ECFR to Hold Physical Abilities Test Sept. 25

    Escambia County Fire Rescue will hold a physical abilities test Monday, Sept. 25, at Pensacola Fire Department Station 4, 1 N. "Q" St., at 8 a.m. The test is open to anyone interested in joining Escambia County Fire Rescue. Participants should arrive 30 minutes early to sign in.

  • District 4 Northpointe Neighborhood Cleanup on Sept. 27

    Join us in keeping our neighborhoods clean and safe! A neighborhood cleanup for residents in Northpointe will take place Wednesday, Sept. 27. This is a chance for residents to dispose of items such as old furniture, appliances and household waste free of charge. Yard debris is eligible for removal during this cleanup.

  • FEMA: Emergency Alert Test Scheduled Oct. 4

  • Animal Welfare Adoption Special Extended to Sept. 23

    The Escambia County Department of Animal Welfare will continue to offer free adoptions for all cats and dogs one year or older from Sept. 18 through Sept. 23. Puppies will be available for $50 and kittens will be available for $25. An $11 licensing fee will be applied to all adoptions for Escambia County residents.

    Due to the First Judicial Circuit courts' closures on Monday, Sept. 25 in observance of Yom Kippur, offices of the Escambia County Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller will also be closed.   • Animal Welfare to Participate in National Adoption Weekend Sept. 15-16

    The Escambia County Department of Animal Welfare is partnering with Best Friends Animal Society, a leading animal welfare organization working to save the lives of cats and dogs in America’s shelters, for the sixth National Adoption Weekend happening Sept. 15-16. During this time, adoption fees for all cats and dogs one year or older will be free.
