    The Escambia Consortium, consisting of Escambia County, Santa Rosa County, the City of Milton, and the City of Pensacola, announce the availability of the REVISED DRAFT HOME-ARP ALLOCATION PLAN, to be filed with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development concerning local housing and community development activities and services to be accomplished with the HOME-ARP funding awarded to the Consortium.

  • Scam Alert: Fraudulent Phone Calls Posing as Animal Welfare Staff

    The Escambia County Department of Animal Welfare has received reports of fraudulent phone calls to the public from persons claiming to represent Animal Welfare staff. These calls are being targeted to citizens with lost pets, claiming their pet has been brought to the shelter and asking for $1,500 to be sent via Venmo in order to retrieve the pet. These calls are not legitimate and are not associated with Escambia County and the Department of Animal Welfare.

  • SuperReef Modules Deployed in County Artificial Reef Construction Project

    Escambia County Marine Resources is pleased to announce that 12 new SuperReef modules were deployed earlier this week as part of the Escambia County Artificial Reef Construction Project. The first 36 reefs were deployed earlier this year, and an additional 34 artificial reefs will be deployed in the coming weeks.

  • Beach Haven Phase II Project to Begin September 2023

    Beginning September 2023, Escambia County's Construction Management division will commence the Beach Haven Phase II Sanitary Sewer and Drainage Project. Work is expected to be completed by 2025, weather permitting. The project is a joint effort between Escambia County and the Emerald Coast Utilities Authority.

    Escambia County is pleased to celebrate the first sea turtle hatches of the season on both Pensacola Beach and Perdido Key Tuesday, Aug. 1. Aided by the full moon, over 160 loggerhead hatchlings safely made their way to Gulf of Mexico.

  • Reminder: District 3 Ensley North Neighborhood Cleanup on Aug. 2

    Join us in keeping our neighborhoods clean and safe! A neighborhood cleanup for residents in Ensley North will take place Wednesday, Aug. 2. This is a chance for residents to dispose of items such as old furniture, appliances and household waste free of charge. Yard debris is eligible for removal during this cleanup.
