Visual displays, HDR engineering firm, county and city staff will be at the Hollice T. Williams Park Covered Pavilion located just south of where Avery Street crosses the park, north of the tennis and basketball courts.

  • District 4 Neighborhood Cleanup for Ferry Pass Scheduled for March 31

    Residents of Ferry Pass will have the opportunity to dispose of yard debris and other items free of charge Wednesday, March 31 during the Neighborhood Cleanup in District 4. Only residents in the designated cleanup area are able to participate in the neighborhood cleanup. Items left at the curb outside of the cleanup area will not be collected.   • Barrancas Neighborhood Cleanup Collects 60 Tons of Debris

    Escambia County collected and disposed of more than 60 tons (120,000 pounds) of debris during the District 2 Barrancas Neighborhood Cleanup on March 12, as part of the county's ongoing effort to help keep local neighborhoods and communities clean and safe. The event allowed residents to leave items at the curb to be disposed of free of charge by the county and partnering agencies.

    The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF) today announced a new project funded by the Gulf Environmental Benefit Fund (GEBF) to construct a large-scale living shoreline in Pensacola Bay at White Island. Developed in consultation with state and federal resource agencies, the project is designed to remedy harm and reduce the risk of future harm to natural resources that were affected by the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill.
