  • District 3 Neighborhood Cleanup for Ensley North Scheduled for May 26

    Residents of Ensley North will have the opportunity to dispose of yard debris and other items free of charge Wednesday, May 26 during the Neighborhood Cleanup in District 3. Only residents in the designated cleanup area are able to participate in the neighborhood cleanup. Items left at the curb outside of the cleanup area will not be collected.   • County Closes on 6-Acre Carpenter Creek Land Acquisition

    On April 30, Escambia County closed on the acquisition of approximately 6-acres of property on Olive Road in support of the county’s efforts to improve water quality, habitat, and public access to Carpenter Creek. Funding to support the acquisition was made possible by an approximately $2 million Natural Resources Damages Assessment (NRDA) grant secured in 2020 through the Florida Department of Environmental Protection.

  • District 3 Brownsville North Neighborhood Cleanup Collects 115 Tons of Debris

    Escambia County collected and disposed of more than 115 tons (230,000 pounds) of debris during the District 3 Brownsville North Neighborhood Cleanup on May 14, as part of the county's ongoing effort to help keep local neighborhoods and communities clean and safe. The event allowed residents to leave items at the curb to be disposed of free of charge by the county and partnering agencies.

There have been many requests to 911 that do not involve true emergencies, which overloads the 911 system with non-emergency calls and uses ambulance resources.
