  • Reminder: BCC to Hold Regular Meeting April 4

    The Escambia County Board of County Commissioners will hold its regular meeting Thursday, April 4. Agenda review begins at 9 a.m., public forum begins at 4:30 p.m. and the regular meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. All meetings will take place in the board chambers of the Ernie Lee Magaha Government Building, located on the first floor of 221 Palafox Place.

  • County CRA to Host Warrington Redevelopment Plan Meetings

    Escambia County's Community Redevelopment Agency invites the public to three meetings to provide input to shape the Warrington Redevelopment Plan. Meetings will be held April 9, 16, and May 26 at 5:30 p.m. at the Lexington Terrace Community Center, 700 S. Old Corry Field Road. One or more Escambia County Commissioners may be in attendance.

    Join us in keeping our neighborhoods clean and safe! A neighborhood cleanup for residents in Lincoln Park will take place Wednesday, Feb. 21. This is a chance for residents to dispose of items such as old furniture, appliances and household waste free of charge. Yard debris is eligible for removal during this cleanup.

  • ECFR to Hold Physical Abilities Test April 22

    Escambia County Fire Rescue will hold a physical abilities test Monday, April 22, at Pensacola Fire Department Station 4, 1 N. "Q" St., at 8 a.m. The test is open to Florida-certified firefighters interested in joining Escambia County Fire Rescue. Participants should arrive 30 minutes early to sign in.

    Repairs to Lane 3 at the Bob Sikes Toll Plaza have been completed following its closure in February. The lane is open to vehicles effective Thursday, March 21. Lane 4 has returned to use for emergency vehicles only.
