  • Cowley Park Closed for Fence Repairs Beginning Aug. 12

    Cowley Park on Pensacola Beach will close Monday, Aug. 12 through Sunday, Aug. 25 for fence repairs and park upgrades. During this time, the tennis courts and roller hockey rink will closed for use. The park is expected to re-open Monday, Aug. 26, weather permitting.

  • Pensacola Beach Celebrates First Sea Turtle Hatch of the Season

    Escambia County is thrilled to celebrate the first sea turtle hatch of the season on Pensacola Beach. The hatch occurred over the weekend, with 59 hatchlings reported entering the Gulf of Mexico. Despite challenges from artificial lighting and weather events, the hatchlings were safely recovered and released in accordance with marine turtle regulations.

  • FDOT: Lane and Ramp Closures Planned for I-10 and U.S. 29

  • CR 168 Bridge Over Hobbs Branch to Reopen Today, July 26

    The County Road 168 bridge over Hobbs Branch will reopen to motorists today, July 26. The bridge closed for necessary rehabilitation Wednesday, July 3, and this work has been successfully completed. Gulf Marine Construction, Inc. is the prime contractor who performed the work on the bridge.
