  • Next Regional Roundup set for June 9

    The Escambia County Waste Services Department will host the next Regional Roundup on Saturday, June 9 from 8 a.m. until noon across from the Naval Hospital located at 6000 W. Highway 98. Regional Roundup events provide an opportunity to properly dispose of electronics, household hazardous waste and up to four tires per vehicle, free of charge.

    Escambia County collected and disposed of more than 49 tons (99,020 pounds) of debris during the May 9 Englewood Neighborhood Cleanup, as part of the county's ongoing effort to help keep local neighborhoods and communities clean and safe. The event allowed residents to leave items at the curb to be disposed of free of charge by the county and partnering agencies.

The meeting will take place at the county Extension Office, located at 3740 Stefani Road, Cantonment, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The cost is $20 for adults and $7 for children ages 10-12, with free admission for children under the age of 9.
