Beginning Thursday, July 26 at 7 a.m. Cove Avenue South between Nine Mile Road and Fretz Street will be closed to through traffic. Traffic will be detoured along Fowler Avenue and Bowman Avenue. Construction will consist of the upgrading of the existing sewer system to improve the sanitary system.

Escambia County collected and disposed of more than 28 tons (56,560 pounds) of debris during the Ebonwood Neighborhood Cleanup, as part of the county's ongoing effort to help keep local neighborhoods and communities clean and safe. The event allowed residents to leave items at the curb to be disposed of free of charge by the county and partnering agencies.

Lane 4, the far right lane of the Bob Sikes Bridge Toll Plaza entering Pensacola Beach, will be temporarily closed Wednesday, July 18 to replace an air conditioning unit inside the toll booth. The lane will be reopened no later than 9 a.m. Thursday, July 19. Other tolling lanes will remain open throughout the day. No lanes on the Bob Sikes Bridge or past the toll plaza will be closed.
