Due to weather, the Malibu Drive lane closures originally scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 13 will now take place Thursday, Nov. 15. Malibu Drive will experience short-term lane closures beginning at 9 a.m. Thursday. The intersection of Malibu Drive and Olive Road will be closed, and Malibu Drive can be accessed at the intersection of Tippin Avenue and Malibu Drive.
Intermittent lane closures on Malibu Drive are necessary to install a new 12” water main for upgrades in the Olive Road drainage.
The roadway closure is expected to remain in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and every effort will be made to expedite construction efforts in order to reopen the road on or before Thursday, Nov. 15 at 3 p.m.
If other lane or roadway closures are necessary beyond the anticipated time period, another notice will be issued.
