  • Updated: District 2 Neighborhood Cleanup for Brownsville South Scheduled for April 16

    Residents of Brownsville South will have the opportunity to dispose of yard debris and other items free of charge Friday, April 16 during the Neighborhood Cleanup in District 2. Only residents in the designated cleanup area are able to participate in the neighborhood cleanup. Items left at the curb outside of the cleanup area will not be collected.   • Ferry Pass Neighborhood Cleanup Collects 49 Tons of Debris

    Escambia County collected and disposed of more than 49 tons (98,000 pounds) of debris during the District 4 Ferry Pass Neighborhood Cleanup on March 31, as part of the county's ongoing effort to help keep local neighborhoods and communities clean and safe. The event allowed residents to leave items at the curb to be disposed of free of charge by the county and partnering agencies.

  • FDOT: Garcon Point Bridge Toll Suspension Further Extended Through May 9

    Pursuant to Executive Orders 20-224, 20-248 and the extension of those orders in Executive Order 21-64, Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Secretary Kevin J. Thibault, P.E. has directed Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise (FTE) to further extend the toll suspension for the Garcon Point Bridge. Tolls are now suspended on the Garcon Point Bridge through Sunday, May 9, 2021.
