Join Escambia County’s Department of Community Affairs for The Youth Connection after-school program. The program will run on Monday-Friday from 1:30-5 p.m. at the Ebonwood Community, Center, 3511 W. Scott Street, starting Monday, Nov. 1, 2021 until the end of the school year.
The Youth Connection is free and open to school-age children in K-8th grade. Through the program, students will have the opportunity to participate in educational, cultural, sports and community enrichment programs; to build confidence and self-esteem; to encourage our youth to say “NO” to gangs, drugs and violence; and “YES” to hope, learning and life. Programs include arts and crafts, homework help, sports and fitness, job-readiness training and team-building activities.
Character building opportunities will also be shared with students through our Teach Me How 2 Program and our Sharing Hope Program for children in K-8th grade. For questions regarding JAG/FDLE - 2021-2022, please contact Carla Thompson at cmthompson@myescambia.com.
Registration is open now! Sign up in-person Monday-Friday from 2-5 p.m. at the Ebonwood Community Center until Friday, Oct. 29.
