Pensacola Bay Cruises apologizes for any inconvenience this may have caused, and they have already begun the process of refunding tickets that were purchased.

Escambia County would like to remind residents to only call 9-1-1 for emergencies. There have been many requests to 911 that do not involve true emergencies, which overloads the 911 system with non-emergency calls and uses ambulance resources. It is important to know whether a situation is considered an emergency or non-emergent.

Residents of Brownsville North will have the opportunity to dispose of yard debris and other items free of charge Friday, May 14 during the Neighborhood Cleanup in District 3. Only residents in the designated cleanup area are able to participate in the neighborhood cleanup. Items left at the curb outside of the cleanup area will not be collected. See the map below for the details of the cleanup area.

Escambia County collected and disposed of more than 26 tons (52,000 pounds) of debris during the District 2 Brownsville South Neighborhood Cleanup on April 28, as part of the county's ongoing effort to help keep local neighborhoods and communities clean and safe. The event allowed residents to leave items at the curb to be disposed of free of charge by the county and partnering agencies.
