    Be Ready Alliance Coordinating for Emergencies (BRACE) is excited to announce that the BRACE Hurricane Sally Recovery Helpline will start receiving calls from Business Owners on Monday, May 3, 2021. The Help Line will continue to offer an entry point to field questions for Escambia County homeowners and will now also collect information from businesses about the need of Hurricane Sally assistance.

  • Escambia County Encourages Final Round of Participation to Shape the Future of Public Transportation

    For those who want to hear directly from the planning team, representatives from the ‘Your Service, Your Say’ project will host three public meetings on May 21. There will be an in-person workshop to talk more about our 10-year transit plan and the proposed improvements to the ECAT system.   • FDOT’s April 29 Updates on the Pensacola Bay Bridge Recovery Efforts

    Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) contractors have completed the installation of multiple stay-in-place forms and are currently pouring and leveling concrete on the Pensacola Bay Bridge. Following the completion of the concrete pours on the bridge deck, crews will construct barrier walls designed to create a reinforced, protective wall for motorists traveling over the bridge. Additional work will include the installation of electrical conduit and roadway striping.

  • Escambia County Board Assists Local Hospitals Offset Uncompensated Health Care Costs

    The Escambia County Board of County Commissioners passed an ordinance on April 22 that helps local hospitals tap into available federal dollars to offset uncompensated health care costs. The Board approved the Local Provider Participation Fund Ordinance that authorizes a special assessment on local hospitals.

  • Reminder: District 4 Neighborhood Cleanup for Northpointe Scheduled for April 28

    Residents of Northpointe will have the opportunity to dispose of yard debris and other items free of charge Wednesday, April 28 during the Neighborhood Cleanup in District 4. Only residents in the designated cleanup area are able to participate in the neighborhood cleanup. Items left at the curb outside of the cleanup area will not be collected.
