The Escambia County Waste Services Department will host a Regional Roundup on Saturday, April 23 from 8 a.m. until noon at Jim Bailey Middle School, 4110 Bauer Road. Regional Roundup events provide an opportunity to properly dispose of electronics, household hazardous waste and up to four tires per vehicle, free of charge.

On Thursday, March 24, the Escambia County Board of County Commissioners approved the Interlocal Agreement between Escambia County Fire Rescue and the Escambia County School District, allowing Escambia County students of certain medical programs the ability to ride with different fire companies throughout the county while receiving real-life experience.

A public meeting and workshop will be held on Tuesday, March 22 to gather public input and ideas to develop a Master Plan for the future improvement of West Jackson Street, between A Street and Fairfield Drive. The planning effort is a joint project of Escambia County and the City of Pensacola, as well as their Community Redevelopment Agencies.
