  • Escambia County Seeks Applicants for the Children's Services Council

    The Escambia County Board of County Commissioners is seeking applications from county residents to serve on the Children's Services Council (CSC). Applications are available online at myescambia.com or in person at the Ernie Lee Magaha Government Building, located at 221 Palafox Place, fourth floor. The application consists of several parts: an Escambia County CSC application, a questionnaire for Gubernatorial Appointments and an optional resume. Both applications must be completed and submitted together to be considered for an appointment. The deadline to apply is Jan. 30, 2021 by 5 p.m. CST.

  • REMINDER: ECFR to conduct a live Christmas tree fire demonstration Today, Dec. 11

    Escambia County Fire Rescue invites the media and public to a live Christmas tree fire demonstration today, Dec. 11 at 1 p.m. in the over flow parking lot of the Public Safety Building on 6575 N. "W" Street. According to the National Christmas Tree Growers Association, there are 25 to 30 million Christmas trees sold every year. Escambia County Fire Rescue wants to show the risks involved when a tree is not properly maintained and becomes dry. Santa will also be on hand to demonstrate smoke detectors, and there will be a sign-up sheet for smoke alarm installation.

  • Building Services Modifies Schedule For Pensacola Beach Permitting

    Starting Tuesday, Dec. 15, Building Services will be open for permitting on Pensacola Beach Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. instead of five days a week. The Molino office, 3470 Highway 29 in Cantonment, and the Central Office Complex, 3363 West Park Place in Pensacola, will continue to provide permitting Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
