    UF/IFAS Escambia Extension is partnering with Florida Master Gardeners for this year’s Fall Garden Festival, held Saturday, Oct. 8 from 8-11 a.m. The annual event takes place at the Escambia Extension Office, located at 3740 Stefani Road, and is free to the public.

  • HOME-American Rescue Plan Funding Survey Results Now Available

    Escambia County has published the results of the HOME-ARP public survey. The survey was open to citizens of Escambia and Santa Rosa counties from Sept. 8-16. Survey participants were asked to answer questions addressing topics related to homelessness in the community.

  • Yom Kippur Office Closures for Escambia County Clerk of the Circuit Court

    Due to the First Judicial Circuit courts' closures on Wednesday, Oct. 5 in observance of Yom Kippur, offices of the Escambia County Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller will also be closed. The Clerk's Official Records, Finance and Clerk to the Board offices, located at 221 Palafox Place, will be open.

  • 9/27 Hurricane Ian 1 p.m. Update

    As of 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, Hurricane Ian has emerged into the southeast Gulf of Mexico. The current track has the storm making landfall as a Category 3 major hurricane in St. Petersburg. Escambia County is outside the cone of uncertainty, but the storm will produce potential fire hazards due to high wind speeds, relatively low humidity and dry fuels. Escambia County has been placed under a Red Flag Warning from Tuesday until Wednesday, between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. both days.

  • Notice of Intent to Perform Mosquito Fogging Operations on Sept. 26

    In an effort to reduce the mosquito population in Escambia County, the Mosquito Control Division has filed a "Notice of Intent" to proceed with fogging missions on Monday, Sept. 26 in Commission District 1. Mission hours vary, but typically occur in the evening hours from 6-9:30 p.m. All operations are dependent on weather conditions.

  • 9/26 Hurricane Ian 9:30 a.m. Update

    As of 9:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 26, Hurricane Ian is turning northward and is expected to continue turning north-northeastward through Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning. Escambia County is out of the cone of uncertainty, but residents are encouraged to remain weather-aware and weather-prepared.

  • Reminder: Escambia Consortium Home-ARP Allocation Plan Public Meeting Sept. 26

    On Monday, Sept. 26, 2022, at 5:30 pm, the Escambia Consortium, comprised of Escambia County, the City of Pensacola, Santa Rosa County and the City of Milton, Florida, has scheduled a public meeting to be held in the Brownsville Community Center (3200 W. Desoto St., Pensacola, FL 32505) seeking community input regarding the allocation of federal funds received through the HOME-ARP grant program.

    The Escambia County Department of Animal Welfare will host an "Adoptapalooza" event Sunday, Oct. 2 from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Animal Welfare and Adoption Center, located at 200 W. Fairfield Drive. This free event is open to the public, their pets, and anyone who has been considering adopting.

  • New County Phone Option Available for Contractor-Related Issues
