CORE

Escambia County has launched the Escambia County CORE website and social media channels. The website and social media channels are dedicated to providing information about the CORE program, including sharing program statistics, stories of program participants, highlighting CORE nurses and staff, where you can learn more about CORE, how to get started in the program and more.

"Escambia County Public Safety and the county's Real Change Project are committed to tackling the opioid crisis impacting Escambia County," said Emergency Manager Travis Tompkins. "CORE is the gateway to recovery, and our dedicated nursing staff is ready and willing to meet you where you're at. If you are ready to exit the cycle of opioid addiction, calling CORE could change your life."

What is CORE?

CORE, or Coordinated Opioid Recovery, is your gateway to addiction recovery. The Escambia County CORE Program is a FREE, voluntary program available to anyone in Escambia County who is struggling with opioid use.

The program is a complete approach to recovery, also aiming to eliminate the stigma of addiction. CORE provides a gateway into addition recovery, using Medication-Assisted Therapy, known as MAT. In addition, CORE offers compassionate recovery care seven days a week.

CORE has a network community partners that can assist with food, shelter and other resources to help with recovery from addiction.
