Escambia County's Engineering department will begin the Jackson Street Sidewalk Project in District 2 starting November 2022. During this time, Chavers Construction, Inc. will install sidewalks within the south right-of-way along Jackson Street from 65th Avenue to 75th Avenue.

Escambia County is pleased to announce over 45 tons (90,000 pounds) of debris were collected from District 4 neighborhood cleanups held in September 2022 in the Northpointe and Olive Road communities. In addition to the debris that was collected, cleanup crews picked up 3,060 pounds of household hazardous waste, 299 tires and 204 gallons of paint.

Pensacola Beach Lifeguards will shift to winter staffing levels Monday, Oct. 17. At that time, lifeguard towers will be removed from the beach until the 2023 lifeguard season. Lifeguards will maintain a presence on Pensacola Beach throughout the winter at Casino Beach and via patrol vehicles.
