The Transportation and Traffic Operations Division (TTO) offers services for the residents of Escambia County related to the county’s transportation system. This section manages the planning, monitoring, and funding sources associated with a wide variety of roadway improvements. Examples include construction of new roadways, travel lane and shoulder widening, sidewalks, bike lanes, additional travel lanes and turn lanes, and installation of ADA enhancements.

Transportation and Traffic Operations also provides oversight and coordination of multiple county programs to ensure minimal overlap in funding or scheduling, including engineering, dirt road paving, roadway resurfacing, bridge programs, and pedestrian enhancements.

TTO manages all traffic signals within the county and oversees the installation and maintenance of traffic control devices . The division also performs traffic studies and analyses, implements traffic calming operations , and works to implement Intelligent Transportation Systems.
