"Little Beach Mouse from the South" is a 26-minute documentary film about the residents and government stake-holders of Escambia County who took an incredible journey together to save the Perdido Key Beach Mouse.

As of Monday, May 18, Escambia County’s self-response rate is 58.1%, and the City of Pensacola’s self-response rate is 61.6%. Escambia County and the City of Pensacola are encouraging all residents to complete the 2020 Census to ensure everyone in the community is accurately counted.

Escambia County received the official letter from Secretary Beshears with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation approving the short-term vacation rental plan that was submitted Friday, May 15. The letters from and to the Secretary as well as the plan are attached to this news release. This plan went into effect immediately today and will be reviewed weekly.
