Escambia County Emergency Medical Services is excited to introduce “Escambia County EMS By the Numbers” as another way to highlight the services provided by the men and women of EMS.
Twice a month, Escambia County EMS and Emergency Communications will release updated statistics on 9-1-1 calls answered, calls responded to, ambulance transports to hospitals, and other relevant information. Each “By the Numbers” graphic could feature a rotation of new information, such as the number CORE appointments made, the number of on-scene treatment and release patients, special events attended, and helicopter transports.
For the first edition of “By the Numbers,” Escambia County EMS is highlighting statistics from the 2024 and 2025 Pensacola Beach Air Show weekends. The statistics come from the service provided from Thursday to Saturday of the air show weekend.
"Escambia County EMS is proud to support and participate in the Pensacola Beach Air Show," said EMS Chief Chris Watts. "This event draws thousands of visitors to our area, and we dedicate significant resources to ensure their safety and well-being. Our team’s mission is to provide the same high-quality medical and emergency care on the beach that we deliver every day throughout Escambia County. By offering on-site medical treatment, we were able to assist numerous attendees and allow them to return safely to the show and enjoy all that Pensacola Beach has to offer."
Escambia County Public Safety is responsible for keeping citizens safe from emergencies and both man-made and natural disasters. Its divisions include Emergency Communications, Emergency Management, Emergency Medical Services, Fire Rescue and Pensacola Beach Lifeguards.
