- Testing Sites
- In an effort to help protect the citizens and visitors of Escambia County, the Department of Public Safety will be identifying points of distribution for face covering masks free of charge. A coordinated effort between Emergency Management and partnerships throughout the community are making this possible. We will provide the date they will be available in a news release.
- All Escambia County lifeguards will have access to free masks for public distribution on the beach. Social distancing is still the preferred method of protecting each other.
- Local food distribution locations will also be able to provide free face coverings while supplies last.
- Join District 1 Commissioner Jeff Bergosh at his virtual 47th Coffee with the Commissioner event Wednesday, July 1. The live stream will take place from 6:30 - 7:30 a.m. Guests will include Escambia County Administrator Janice Gilley, Pensacola Baptist Health Care CEO Mark Faulkner, President and CEO of Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital Dawn Rudolph, Justin Labrato, President of Ascension Medical Group and Gay Nord, Chief Executive Officer for West Florida Hospital. The discussion will focus on the local response to the COVID-19 Pandemic and how area hospitals are handling the current issues locally. More information here.
- Food Truck Tuesday is scheduled for Tuesday, July 21 from 3 p.m. - 7 p.m. at the Equestrian Center parking lot, located at 7750 Mobile Highway. Residents will be able to purchase take-away food. Here is the list of food trucks for July 21:

- On Sunday, June 28 Governor Ron DeSantis held a press conference at Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola about COVID-19. Community Health Northwest Florida
- Community Health Northwest Florida test sites are:
- Wednesday, July 1 from 9 a.m. to noon at Community Health Northwest Florida, 2315 W. Jackson St., Pensacola. Drive-up testing along the side of the building. No pre-screening required, open to Escambia County residents of all ages. Bring photo ID and insurance card (if insured). Testing until supplies last, weather permitting.
- Wednesday, July 8 from 9 a.m. to noon at Attucks Court, Pensacola. Walk-up testing. No pre-screening required, open to Escambia County residents of all ages. Bring photo ID and insurance card (if insured). Testing until supplies last, weather permitting.
Florida Department of Health in Escambia County
- FDOH-Escambia’s walk-in testing site is free to all Florida residents with or without symptoms. Pre-screening is not required. Open June 29- July 2 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 1300 West Gregory St., Pensacola, FL 32502. Dates are subject to change due to inclement weather or shortage of supplies. - As of 2 p.m., June 29, Escambia County has had 1,702 positive COVID-19 cases. This number is expected to change daily due to the return of results from ongoing testing. The best source for up-to-date information regarding confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Florida is the Florida Department of Health website and the associated Data and Surveillance Dashboard and Daily Report. The site is currently updated once daily, at around 3 p.m. ET.
- The total number of COVID-19 related deaths in Escambia County residents is 44 individuals.
- The Florida Department of Health (the Department) releases a list of long-term care facilities in Florida associated with COVID-19 cases with active cases and number of deaths in each facility in order to provide real-time data. The list of long-term care facilities with active COVID-19 cases is available here.
- The Department is providing a report detailing surveillance data for every Florida county. Previously, this information was only available for select communities. The surveillance data report is available here.
- To view demographics of cases in Escambia County, visit the COVID-19 dashboard and select Escambia County. The following case data will appear: age, gender, race, and ethnicity.
- Use the COVID 19 testing self-checker to determine if you need to call your healthcare provider to be tested.
