Black History Month Program Scheduled for Feb. 22

Escambia County's Play, Learn, Grow after school program will host a Black History Month program and celebration Wednesday, Feb. 22, featuring presentations from students about famous African American figures. The program will take place from 5:30-7 p.m. at the Marie K. Young/Wedgewood Community Center, located at 6405 Wagner Road. Refreshments will be served. One or more Escambia County commissioners may be present. 

The Play, Learn, Grow after school program provides a stimulating environment for students in grades K-12 five days a week, with educational and recreational activities throughout the school year. To learn more, click here.
