Report Fraud, Waste and Abuse

Escambia County has a Fraud, Waste and Abuse hotline for county residents and employees to anonymously report activity that may be considered unethical or of concern.

The hotline is managed by an outside organization, Lighthouse Services, which monitors incoming reports. Reports may be made 24 hours a day.

How to Submit a Report

Choose the reporting method that is most convenient for you.

Before You Submit a Report

  • When making a report, please provide thorough and accurate information.
  • All complaints are within the Sunshine Law and are subject to public record. You are responsible for remaining anonymous if you choose to do so. While you will be asked your name when giving the report, you are not required to identify yourself.
  • While Lighthouse permits anonymous reports, the State of Florida no longer allows anonymous code enforcement complaints as of July 1, 2021 under SB 60.
  • County employees should keep in mind that providing job-specific duties and details may reveal their identity even without providing a name.
  • The sole purpose of the Fraud, Waste and Abuse program is to ensure that ethical behavior and business practices occur within the Escambia County organization. With employee and public participation, we can continue working together in the best interest of our citizens.
