The County Road 164 Widening project located in District 5 will expand the existing lane width of approximately 8.5 feet to a proposed width of 11 feet on both sides of the roadway. There are two locations along County Road 164 included in this project with modifications totaling 11,420 linear feet. The first and westernmost section begins at State Road 97 and extends 3,600 linear feet eastward. The second location on the east side is centered on North Pine Barren Road and extends east and west for a total length of 3,960 linear feet.
The roadway will be overlain with two inches of asphalt. Existing striping orientations shall be followed with the new striping. Roadside shoulders and front slope will be sodded with Bahia sod and other disturbed areas will be seeded and mulched as needed.
Projected construction costs total $1,254,956.
