Marine Resources to Host Escambia County Waterways Symposium Nov. 10

Escambia County's Marine Resources Division, the Marine Advisory Committee, and Florida Sea Grant invite the public to the Escambia County Waterways Symposium, a free event open to anyone interested in learning more about the conditions of local waterways. The symposium will take place Monday, Nov. 10 at 5:30 p.m. at the Escambia County Central Office Complex, 3363 W. Park Place, during the regularly scheduled Marine Advisory Committee meeting.

During the symposium, attendees will hear from Escambia County staff and representatives from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, Pensacola and Perdido Bays Estuary Program, UF/IFAS Escambia Extension, and Ocean Hour. Topics of discussion will include utilization and safety in waterways, vessel issues, water quality monitoring, habitat and wildlife, and more.
