Escambia County, in partnership with Jacobs Engineering, invites residents to the second public meeting for the Vulnerability Assessment Project, an initiative aimed at safeguarding the unincorporated areas of Escambia County against environmental risks, including rising sea levels and flooding.
The meeting will take place Monday, Dec. 2 at 5:30 p.m. at the Lexington Terrace Community Center, 700 S. Old Corry Field Road. The meeting is open to anyone interested in learning more about future flood mitigation efforts and the potential impacts of flood events on the community. Anyone unable to attend in person can sign up here to receive a Teams link to join the meeting virtually. A link will be sent out the day of the meeting.
During the meeting, attendees will hear from county staff and representatives from Jacobs Engineering and APTIM on the methodology and results of the countywide vulnerability assessment. Attendees will have the chance to provide input on results from the exposure and sensitivity analysis as well as participate in a question-and-answer session at the end of the meeting.
