Mills Avenue Sewer Project to Begin Oct. 29

Published Oct 23, 2024

The Mills Avenue Sewer Project will begin Tuesday, Oct. 29, as crews install new sewer pipes along the 1200 block of Mills Avenue.

Mills Avenue between Cairo Street and Lownde Avenue will be closed to through traffic, with traffic detoured along Cairo Street and Lownde Avenue. The road is expected to reopen by Friday, Nov. 1.

Residents, pedestrians, local traffic and emergency vehicles will have access to properties within the work area at all times; however, there may be short periods when a driveway or entrance may be blocked temporarily as equipment and materials are moved during construction. Motorists are encouraged to use caution when traveling through work zones.

If other roadway closures are necessary or work is delayed, another notice will be issued.
