Work is expected to be completed by Thursday, March 2.
Construction will consist of the installation of a new six-inch fire main, a four-inch domestic water line, and a dedicated six-inch line for a fire hydrant, including the cutting and patching of Sycamore Drive.
During this time, northbound traffic on Syramore Drive will be detoured to Brent Lane, then to Hyatt Street, followed by McCoy Drive, Royce Street, Amber Street, and back onto Sycamore Drive. Southbound traffic will follow the opposite directions of northbound traffic.
A formal Maintenance of Traffic Plan was submitted to and approved by the Escambia County Construction Management Division on Friday, Feb. 24. Jeremy Hebb, B&W, Inc. was responsible for the submittal of the approved MOT Plan and has a valid certificate for Advanced MOT training.
