The Escambia County Board of County Commissioners is seeking Escambia County residents interested in volunteering to be considered for an appointment to the Opioid Abatement Funding Advisory Board, which will include utilizing information, data and projections provided by the Opioid Taskforce. The appointee should have experience with law enforcement, fire rescue, substance abuse treatment or other relevant experience, to be appointed for a two-year term.
Escambia residents interested in serving on the Opioid Abatement Funding Advisory Board are asked to submit their resume and a letter of interest indicating their desire to serve by 5 p.m. Friday, April 22. Please be aware that resumes submitted to a BCC agenda for consideration will become part of the official meeting minutes and are subject to public records requests.
The Opioid Abatement Funding Advisory Board shall meet regularly and as often as needed to effectuate its responsibilities, but no less than semi-annually and on a schedule which allows the Opioid Taskforce to provide the data compiled for and arising out of its semi-annual meeting to the Opioid Abatement Funding Advisory Board for review and consideration.
