Pensacola Ferry Service Returns May 14

The Pensacola Bay Cruises Ferry Service is back for the Spring 2021 season and is set to reopen Friday, May 14. The opening week ferry service for May 14-20 will begin daily service, seven days a week, between Downtown Pensacola and Pensacola Beach. Ferry trips last approximately 50 minutes, and all-day free parking is available at each of the departure sites.

Tickets will cost:
  • Adults = $13 each way ($26 roundtrip)
  • Seniors (62 and up), military, disabled persons = $10 each way ($20 roundtrip)
  • Youth (3-15) = $7.50 each way ($15 roundtrip)
  • Children 2 and under are free
  • A locals card may be purchased for additional discounts

Bike and scooter rentals, cycle racks, storage areas and free shuttles by numerous businesses make it easy to enjoy what Downtown Pensacola and Pensacola Beach have to offer. Additionally, many destinations are within walking distance of the ferry dock, so those wanting to explore the area on foot have a variety of options to choose from.

"On behalf of the Escambia County Board of County Commissioners, we are extremely thankful there is another mode of transportation available for residents and visitors between Downtown Pensacola and Pensacola Beach," said Chairman and District 4 County Commissioner Robert Bender. "This service schedule will be offered based on demand so I am extremely hopeful that residents and visitors use the ferry for an enjoyable commute or for pleasure."

The Ferry service operation schedule for opening week (May 14-20) is below, and the schedule will be updated on pensacolabaycruise.com:

Friday - Sunday (May 14-16): Departures

  • 12PM: Downtown Pensacola (750 Commendencia St.)
  • 1PM: Pensacola Beach, Quietwater Landing (400 Quietwater Beach Road)
  • 2PM: Downtown Pensacola
  • 3PM: Pensacola Beach
  • 4PM: Downtown Pensacola
  • 5PM: Pensacola Beach

Monday - Thursday (May 17-20): Departures

  • 6AM: Downtown Pensacola 
  • 7AM: Pensacola Beach
  • 8AM: Downtown Pensacola
  • 9AM: Pensacola Beach
  • 4PM: Downtown Pensacola
  • 5PM: Pensacola Beach
  • 6PM: Downtown Pensacola
  • 7PM: Pensacola Beach

Tickets can be purchased online at pensacolabaycruise.com, in-person at the Downtown Pensacola Ferry Landing at 750 Commendencia St. or at the Quietwater Beach ticket kiosk on Pensacola Beach. You can find the schedule and more information at the Pensacola Bay Cruises website.

About Pensacola Bay Cruises Ferry Service
Pensacola Bay Cruises operates two 149-passenger, catamaran-style vessels, the “Turtle Runner” and “Pelican Perch.” The vessels offer air-conditioned interior and covered exterior seating and restrooms. Imported and domestic beer, wines, soft drinks and water are available for purchase. Bicycle racks and storage areas make it easy to explore much of what Downtown Pensacola and Pensacola Beach have to offer. On select trips, National Park Service Rangers speak on a variety of subjects including wildlife and landscapes of the area.(Due to COVID restrictions National Park Service Rangers will not be able to join us for this season). Come and enjoy one of the most beautiful views of Pensacola Bay aboard the Pensacola Bay Cruises.
