- Ascension Sacred Heart-
- Baptist Health Care- Baptist Health Care is currently offering COVID-19 vaccination appointments while supplies last at Baptist Medical Park – Nine Mile located at 9400 University Parkway in Pensacola. Vaccinations will be given by appointment only. No walk-ins will be available. At this time, appointments are available at this location only.
Individuals residing in Florida who meet the eligibility requirements may receive the vaccine.
How to Make a Vaccination Appointment
Appointments can be made one of three ways:
- Visit EasySchedule.com. Click “procedure appointment” and complete the registration.
- Email name and contact information to BHCVaccine@bhcpns.org.
- For those who do not have email/internet access, call 850.908.SHOT (7468), Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Community Health Northwest Florida- This week Community Health Northwest Florida will resume use of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine, per CDC recommendation, and has announced two new vaccination clinics to take place at the Brownsville Community Center in Pensacola on April 30 and May 1.
On Saturday, May 1st participants will have the opportunity to choose between the Johnson & Johnson (“One and Done”) vaccine and the dose #1 of the Moderna vaccine. Eligible persons who wish to participate in one of these events may call the Community Health COVID-19 Vaccine Call Center at 850-439-3358 to schedule an appointment, or may arrive at their convenience for a Walk-in appointment. These clinics are open to all Florida residents who qualify to receive the vaccine, including those covered under the Governor’s latest Executive Orders. Currently, the amended order expands the groups eligible to receive the Moderna and Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine in Florida to include all people age 18 and older.
IMPORTANT:
- All participants will be required to show photo ID at time of appointment.
- Individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 14 days or have had symptoms of illness (fever, cough, shortness of breath) in the past 14 days should not receive the vaccine.

Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at FDOH-Escambia: 1295 W Fairfield Dr, Pensacola, FL 32501. Same-day appointments may be available by calling 850-595-6554.
- Residents can use the statewide preregistration system, at myvaccine.fl.gov to schedule COVID-19 vaccine appointments. They may also call 850-595-6554 to be scheduled into any remaining available appointments, including same-day appointments at FDOH-Escambia. Questions can be directed to FDOH-Escambia’s COVID-19 phone line at 850-595-6500 option 6.

Florida Division of Emergency Management
- Florida- Sign up for text message updates about the vaccine and distribution by texting "FLCOVID19" to 888777. After you submit the text message, it will ask you to supply your zip code for local-level updates. Information about the statewide vaccine distribution plan can be found at floridahealthcovid19.gov/covid-19-vaccines-in-florida/.
The Federal Retail Pharmacy Program
- CVS- CVS Health is partnering with several local state and federal programs to help administer the COVID-19 vaccine to eligible populations. Appointments will be available as they receive vaccines from these programs.
- Register in advance at CVS.com or through the CVS Pharmacy app. People without online access can contact CVS customer service at (800) 746-7287.
- Walk-in vaccinations without an appointment will not be provided.
- Publix - Publix opened its online reservation system for COVID 19 vaccination appointments. Publix will continue to announce appointment dates. Monitor Publix's online portal here.
- Walgreens- Eligible individuals can schedule COVID-19 vaccine appointments at Walgreens. Vaccine appointments can be scheduled at the following Walgreens locations:

- Appointments are available for Escambia County residents who are 3 months and older and are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms. Patients desiring COVID-19 testing through Ascension Sacred Heart's locations in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties should pre-register online by visiting: www.getsacredheartcare.com to be pre-screened and scheduled (if eligible) or call Community Health Northwest Florida at 850-390-4276. Rapid testing is offered for symptomatic individuals by appointment only.

- Cumulatively, 1,479 Escambia County inmates have been tested:
- 283 positive (244 have been medically cleared, and 27 have been released from custody, leaving 12 active, positive cases at this time)

- At the Walton County jail, 29 Escambia County inmates tested positive out of the 146 inmates housed there.
Escambia County School District
- Escambia County School Superintendent Tim Smith announced to principals that he has reviewed the protocol for student events and has decided to make some updates. “The new change is that ECSD schools are now able to be hold student events following the same guidelines as athletic events. This includes allowing 50% capacity of audience attendance,” Superintendent Smith told principals.
Smith added, “These activities, such as fine arts performances, must be voluntary for all with no impact on student grades.”
The use of masks, hand sanitizer, and social distancing are to be adhered to at all events.
“If someone is uncomfortable performing or attending, they should not come to the event. Schools also may explore options for virtual ways to share these events whenever possible, either live or by posting video recordings,” added Superintendent Smith.
When possible, schools are encouraged to hold events outside. Each school will review their calendar and notify parents of updates. The State established a help line at 833-959-0217 for those who need to make changes to their original preregistration.

Registrants are now able to schedule appointments immediately after preregistering or logging on if appointments are available. This preregistration system allows users to find vaccine locations on the locator map and choose the location most convenient for them. Residents can view available time slots for each vaccine location and schedule their appointment. Residents may also opt to be contacted by phone to schedule their appointment.

Appointments are opened based upon the vaccine supply received each week from the State of Florida. Please be aware that the scheduling process will NOT ask for financial information or social security information.
- Florida has launched a COVID-19 Vaccine Report that will be updated daily. As of April 30, 97,034 Escambia County residents have been vaccinated.
- As of 2 p.m., April 30, Escambia County has had 35,929 positive COVID-19 cases. This number is expected to change daily due to the return of results from ongoing testing. The best source for up-to-date information regarding confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Florida is the Florida Department of Health website and the associated Data and Surveillance Dashboard and Daily Report. The site is currently updated once daily, at around 3 p.m. ET.
- The total number of COVID-19 related deaths in Escambia County residents is 678 individuals.
