- The State of Florida Provided Week 15 Updates of vaccine distribution. The Florida Department of Health issued an update on the progress of the state's vaccination efforts, as well as its weekly COVID-19 update.
- Beginning today Monday, March 29, each of the four federally-supported vaccine sites in Jacksonville, Orlando, Tampa, and Miami will be able to administer 3,000 first doses of the Pfizer vaccine per day. To make this change, Governor DeSantis directed the Florida Division of Emergency Management and Florida Department of Health to allocate state vaccine allocations to these federal sites.
- Additionally, the four federally-supported sites will remain open for four additional weeks. These sites were previously expected to close on April 28 and will now close on May 26. To keep these sites open, the sites will utilize state vaccine allocations.
-
The four federally-supported sites are listed below:
- Tampa Greyhound Track
755 E. Waters Ave.
Tampa, FL 33604
- Valencia College – West Campus
1800 S. Kirkman Road
Orlando, FL 32811
- Gateway Mall

Each of these sites was opened in order to provide the vaccine in underserved communities, and Florida was the first state in the nation to open large federal sites using a walk-up model and was the first state to use a hub and spoke model to reach more underserved areas. To date, these sites have vaccinated more than 300,000 individuals.
