Escambia County to Hold Hurricane Sally Press Conference Friday, Oct. 2 at 3 p.m.

The media is invited to attend a press conference, Friday, Oct. 2, at the Public Safety building, 6575 N. "W" St., inside the media room regarding the latest update on Hurricane Sally. The press conference will take place at 3 p.m. The meeting will also be streamed live on the Escambia County Emergency Management Facebook page and viewed live on myescambia.com/ectv, channel 4/1004 on Cox, channel 98 for Spectrum and Mediacom (Pensacola Beach) subscribers and channel 99 for AT&T U-verse subscribers.

Attendees may include:

  • Florida State Senator Doug Broxson
  • Florida House Representative Alex Andrade
  • Escambia County Board of County Commissioners 
  • Escambia County Administrator Janice P. Gilley
  • City of Pensacola representative
  • Escambia County Sheriff's Office Chief Deputy Chip Simmons

As of 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, Escambia County Emergency Operation Center is activated at a level 1 for Hurricane Sally, which means all emergency support functions are operating.
